A significant investment in digital experts is an investment in S Group's future digital services. We want to continue to be the developer of Finland's most popular services, and this recruitment will ensure that the retail group will continue to have the best experts in the IT sector and a swift pace of development in the coming years. Growing our own staff provides continuity for the development of services, as we will have more direct ownership of the development work. This is also a cost-effective way to develop services.

The new experts will be hired by Suomen Osuuskauppojen Keskuskunta (SOK Corporation). The company’s main office, Ässäkeskus, is in the Vallila district of Helsinki.

S Group includes 19 cooperatives, which own SOK, which serves as the central organisation of the cooperatives and provides them with procurement, expert and support services. SOK is responsible for the strategic guidance of S Group and the development of the various chains.

At S Group, digital experts work in all the retail group's businesses: retail; online stores; service station store and fuel sales; the travel industry and hospitality business; and the banking world.

The recruited experts will become part of our tight-knit work community, which develops Finland's most popular and customer-oriented digital services and capabilities such as online stores, mobile applications, store operations, and product and customer information solutions like interface services and analytics.

We also hire entry-level employees, so this has a lot to do with timing. SOK employs hundreds of development and design professionals from about 20 countries around the world. The working language is therefore mainly English, as is usually the case in the industry.
